Just a reminder that the brilliant ‘Shark In The Water’ by VV Brown is out this week. Let’s watch her singing it in a black cab with someone a lot less cool than her playing a guitar:
Please buy this song and help make it the hit it deserves to be:

Pixie Lott looks set to top the UK singles chart this weekend with her debut single ‘Mama Do’. The 18 year old from Essex has been a record company darling since the age of 14, now it looks like all that hard work has paid off. She’s worked with producer of the moment Red One among others on her debut album ‘Turn It Up’ which is released in September.
Next to VV Brown who’s brilliant single ‘Shark In The Water’ is out on Monday. VV had a bit of a Twitter rant during the week because the song wasn’t added to the BBC Radio 1 playlist. She said she was “beyond gutted that despite support from all avenues of the industry radio 1 dont want to support us”. It does seem a little odd. There’s every reason for it to feature. Must be some record company/BBC type politics going on.
And finally, despite reports tickets for her gigs at the O2 were being sold for just £2 this week, Britney Spears has announced another string of dates across North America on her Circus tour taking her up to the end of the year. Her next single ‘Radar’ is due this summer – despite originally appearing on her last album ‘Blackout’. Rumours are already circulating that she’ll be releasing ‘Kill The Lights’ later in the year too.

As part of her one woman campaign for a re-make of Jaws, VV Brown’s third single is ‘Shark In The Water’. Her best so far – less novelty than ‘Crying Blood’ and, well, better than ‘Leave’.
VV’s another one of those ‘big in 2009′ list artists who’s yet to really achieve mainstream success. This song will change all of that. It’s cool yet radio friendly. My Mum will like it. And besides, it’s May tomorrow VV – pull your socks up!
Here’s the video, what’s that in the water!
Check her bloody MySpace for more music and some lovely photos – she’s beautiful.
We Are Pop Slags call ‘Shark In The Water’ “very nice indeed”.
MuuMuse says it’s “quite possibly her first major UK hit”.
‘Shark In The Water’ is released on Universal Records on 11th May. The debut album ‘Travelling Like The Light’ is pencilled in for 15th June.
She’s got nout on Spotify.
