Sean Kingston’s the latest artist to get the Red One treatment on his new single ‘Fire Burning’. It’s been around for a while but has been doing rather well on the Billboard chart in America recently and is now scheduled for release in the UK. A definate party banger with huge potential for becoming one of the most annoying songs of the year. It’s basically Gaga’s ‘Just Dance’ with different vocals. While Red One has without a doubt been responsible for some of the best songs of the last 18 months, I can’t help feeling that he is to music what Sparky Polastri is to cheerleading. It’s good but it’s all the bloody same. I just have visions of the Sugababes (who Red’s been working with recently) hanging their heads in their hands at some point going “he’s given us the same song as everyone else!”.

Tinchy Stryder has teamed up with Amelle from the Sugababes for his third single ‘Never Leave You’. She looks like a cross between Rihanna and Frankie the Saturday in the video, see ->
The song is literally quite good. The only problem I have – well there’s two -are:
1) Tinchy has essentially released the same song three times this year just with different people singing the bits he doesn’t. This was acceptable for the Vengaboys but perhaps not the new king of UK urban music.
2) All of his songs are going to sound terrible and dated in less than 18 months.
So, the moral of the story is, enjoy it while it’s fresh.
‘Never Leave You’ is released in the UK on 13th August.
