Popjustice have alerted us to the fact that the amazing ‘Songs Remind Me Of You’ by Annie is OUT NOW on iTunes – so go and bloody buy it.
We have been quoted alongside the NME and Metro on Xenomania news giving love to Mini Viva.
In other news, I am watching 17 Again and drinking Kronenbourg. Like the percentage of alcohol in my beer, the percentage of shirtless Zac action in the film is insufficient.
‘Left My Heart In Tokyo’ is the debut single from Xenomania’s new act Mini Viva. They’re 2 girls – Frankee Connolly and Britt Love – who captured the attention of the Xeno crew last year when the Fred Falke remixes of this song started doing the rounds. Since then the girls have been working with the like of Miranda Cooper and Norwegian sensation Annie.
This song is what you might call ‘quality pop music’, the sort of stuff Girls Aloud turn out for 3 out of every 4 singles. In my mind it’s what Madison Avenue’s ‘Don’t Call Me Baby’ might have sounded like 10 years on, only a bit better. I would go as far as to say I love this song.
The single is out on 7th September. Mixes by Fred Falke, Acid Girls and Treasure Fingers are floating around online.
