So, in between miming to her songs at the O2, Britney Spears has had time to make a distinctly average video for her new old single Radar. The reason it’s new old is because it first featured on the Blackout album, was included as a bonus track on Circus and is now a single. Polo anyone?
I’m so bored of this song right now. The whole Circus campaign has been lacklustre at best. None of the singles have been the hits they deserved to be and Radar just sounds old. Hold the front page though… …and see what’s going on with this over at Muumuse – same video but with the brilliant ‘Amnesia’ over the top, much better.

Sky have won the rights to screen the recent Girls Aloud tour. They’ll be screening the sellout Out Of Control show filmed at London’s O2 Arena last month in August. It will be shown on Sky1 and Sky1 HD. A DVD and Blu Ray release will follow later in the year.
Amazon made a huge blunder yesterday and ended up selling full albums on their mp3 site for just 29p. It included titles by Kings of Leon and Lily Allen. Bargain hunters swooped after tip offs appeared on a number of consumer sites. The mistake wasn’t fixed for 4 hours raising concerns it could impact on this week’s chart.
Britney Spears angered fans last night by walking on stage in Manchester, that’s Man-ches-ter, and yelling ‘What’s Up London!?’ – oops. Despite driving 200 miles to get there it was clear she had absolutely no idea where she was. Perhaps it was the McDonalds she picked up from a suburban branch in London on her way to the gig.
In other Britney news.. …despite reports in most of the papers this morning. She is not engaged to her agent.
And.. …Elly Jackson from La Roux has defended the duo’s music, saying ‘it’s just pop music’ and dismissed claims their sound is an ‘unreconstructed throwback to the 80s’ – read the full interview at The Quietus.

Pixie Lott looks set to top the UK singles chart this weekend with her debut single ‘Mama Do’. The 18 year old from Essex has been a record company darling since the age of 14, now it looks like all that hard work has paid off. She’s worked with producer of the moment Red One among others on her debut album ‘Turn It Up’ which is released in September.
Next to VV Brown who’s brilliant single ‘Shark In The Water’ is out on Monday. VV had a bit of a Twitter rant during the week because the song wasn’t added to the BBC Radio 1 playlist. She said she was “beyond gutted that despite support from all avenues of the industry radio 1 dont want to support us”. It does seem a little odd. There’s every reason for it to feature. Must be some record company/BBC type politics going on.
And finally, despite reports tickets for her gigs at the O2 were being sold for just £2 this week, Britney Spears has announced another string of dates across North America on her Circus tour taking her up to the end of the year. Her next single ‘Radar’ is due this summer – despite originally appearing on her last album ‘Blackout’. Rumours are already circulating that she’ll be releasing ‘Kill The Lights’ later in the year too.
