This quite nice for a Tuesday morning:
An acoustic version of ‘On & On’ by Agnes there. You should be able to get hold of that from iTunes and the like when the single is released on 28th September.
Agnes Carlsson, the winner of Swedish Idol 2005, has had one of surprise hits of the year with ‘Release Me’. A properly good summer dance tune – the likes of which we haven’t heard since the mid nineties. She’ll be hoping to repeat that success with her second UK single ‘On & On’ and in keeping with one of the greatest Europop traditions enshrined in history, it sounds exactly the same as it’s predecessor:
I’m really hoping for a new video. This one is a bit, well, cheap. Good luck Aggie.

It’s back for a second installment…must have been a success.
First, some serious stuff. No, really. Virgin Media have signed a deal with Universal Music to clamp down on Internet piracy. Virgin will police users who share files illegally by temporarily disconnecting them but in return will offer an unlimited mp3 download and streaming service to broadband subscribers. More here…
Preston from the Ordinary Boys is coming back with a solo record. He’s looking rather dishy and according to Popjustice (therefore fact) the music is rather good.
The brilliant Sneaky Sound System are No.1 in the Official UK Club Chart with their new single ‘It’s Not My Problem’ – I don’t know what that means exactly but congratulations are most certainly in order. They are without a doubt one of my favourite bands of the 21st Century. I also hear they went down a storm at the Isle of Wight Festival on Friday night (see their Facebook page for photos).
A quick look at the charts… ..Pixie Lott goes straight to the top of the Official Singles Chart with ‘Mama Do’, Agnes moves up to number 3 and David Guetta and Kelly Rowland are new at 7. In the all new The Big Top 40 Show which has replace Hit40UK on commercial radio across the UK – David Guetta’s at the top, Pixie only makes number 2 and Lady Gaga sneaks into the top 10 at 9 with ‘Paparazzi’.
